As we head into the holiday season, we see and hear the old phrase “‘tis the season to believe”. Well, I want to suggest to you that right now is the time to believe….to believe in yourself and the healing power of your mind and your body. I was reminded of our own innate healing abilities when I read Dr. Joe Dispenza’s blog post in his October newsletter titled “You Have to Believe It to Become It.” You see, making a choice to heal is part of your healing journey and that decision to heal causes your body to respond to your mind.

Dr. Dispenza discusses that if you do the work around your health and well-being without the belief that you can be or will be healed, then you haven’t changed any aspects of your thinking, behaviors, or emotions. But, if you get up from a meditation and believe in your new state of health, and thus your new future, more than when you sat down, then you have created a change in the way you’re thinking and feeling. Thus, changing your state of being. This is important because it’s this new feeling that causes you to believe in your future and when you believe in your future, you’re no longer feeling separate from it. You feel separate from your future when you’re back to old personality, thinking and feeling in the same ways and wondering when or if you might heal and get better.
